Most Frequently Asked Questions About a Shadow Cruisers Holiday

Q1. When we hire we enjoy steering & operating the locks, its all part of the fun, can we do the same if we come with Shadow Cruisers?                                                        

A. Yes please! As long as one of us is with you, you can do both as often as you like.                            

Q2. You only advertise week long holidays on the web, can we have a shorter break.

A. Yes, we do from one to three nights by direct phone booking and subject to availability.                                                  

Q3.  What do we get for our money?                                          

A. Double or Twin room aboard Shadow both with adjoining full size bathroom, TV video CD/tuner Hairdryer. Breakfast-lunch-afternoon tea... Four Course dinner wine, after dinner port and brandy, as much tea coffee as you like during the day.                                        

Q4. Do we get a chance to wander around towns and villages along the route?                     

A. Yes within reason, we have a schedule to keep but wherever possible we don’t mind stopping or waiting for you.

Q5. Are there any other facilities on board?                      

A. Videos, cards, books ect.

Q6. What form of heating do you have?                                     

A. The boats are fully centrally heated.

Q7.  Can you cater for vegetarians?                                           

A. Yes, we can cater for most dietary requirements; just let us know on the booking form so that we have time to compile a menu for you.

Q8.  If I don’t like what is on the menu can I have something else?   

A. Yes, as long as we have a little notice.

Q9.  Do we get to visit a pub along the way?                            

A. Yes, we normally visit at least a couple of pubs on route.

Q10. What else do I pay for on the cruise?                       

A. Nothing on the cruise.   However you may wish to visit a pub or have an excursion/shopping etc. so you will need funds for that.
